NOTES: Alarm calls and territorial calls. 6 gave the first territorial call. 6 giving alarm call, standing on top of burrow mound, started at 921 on May 22, no dogs in immediate vicinity paying attention, dogs over 20 meters away also not paying attention, includes BB0 and 13, earlier dog giving chatter call was trapped in burrow by 6. no obvious reason for alarm call, no predator visible. dog who had been chased into burrow and gave chatter-squeal, number 99, was 1 meter away from 6 while he was alarm calling, standing partway in burrow, alert. 99 emerged from burrow when 6 stopped alarm calls. Response to call most likely given by male 35 who was either in a trap or near traps, approximately 5 meters away from 6. Parts may be distorted. HPF @ 180. Other Behaviors: Emit Alarm, Social Context: Colony. Habitat: Grassland, Desert.
