NOTES: Songs recorded in three parts at 6:49, 6:53, and 7:04; a male that was well seen; when recorded, the bird was 10-15 meters away and initially 5, later 6-8 meters up in good, terra firme forest; the bird used exposed perches and was seen to dip the tail and puff out the throat with each note of the song; initially associated with a mixed-species flock; recorded in same area as Xiphorhynchus, about 300 meters short of Estrada do Gave¿ along road to house and Rio Barra Seca [19¡ 04Õ 21" S, 39¡, 53Õ 47" W]; overcast clearing slightly; 75 ¡F; three parts separated by internal announcements; good calls of Piculus flavigula in third part of cut worth copying as cut #99-107-03 (see below). Other Behaviors: Advertise, Social Context: Mixed. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
