NOTES: A female of this species was later seen 35 meters up and 35-40 meters away almost directly overhead in large tree; I was unsure, however, if bird seen was the same one that was recorded; the bird approached in response to my whistled imitation of song; recorded in same spot as the above cuts, near end of the logging road off the west side of Estrada do Gave¿, 2.1 km. N Estrada do Caing¿ (sustainable forestry plot Ð Bloco A [19¡ 04' 32Ó S, 39¡ 54Õ 17" W]); clouds approaching, intermittent breeze, 75¡ F; filter off for this cut as noted. Response to playback: Approach. Other Behaviors: Bill Drumming, Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
