NOTES: Songs of same male as cut #99-92-07 after limited playback of itself; recorded in two parts at 11:48 and 12:00; female singing in background; a male seen exceptionally well after approach, both in flight and walking, in response to playback; bird was 12 meters away and on or very near the ground (generally on ground, but occasionally seen on logs) when recorded; bird was generally quiet following playback; it began singing only several minutes after playback (though it rattled on occasion before this); when it did begin singing, the song was the same as that before playback, though at first it was given somewhat more frequently; bird was 10-12 meters away and low in undergrowth for last part, recorded along road to tower, 50-60 meters out from base (not 200 meters, as initially believed); mostly clear, trace breeze at times; 90¡ F; contains an internal announcement; donÕt copy first part before first song. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Mate, Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
