NOTES: Short calls from bird in foreground but long calls from a second, distant bird; recorded in two parts at 17:32:16 and 17:34:39; unseen bird was 40 m away (though it had been 25 m away before I got onto it) in mid-levels of forest along entrance road about 1 km. from base clearing; first part began at 17:31:52 after I missed a long call, and then began again at 17:32:36; it was getting dark at this point. ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus eytoni to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [eytoni Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Other Behaviors: Dusk Song, Roost. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
