NOTES: "agitated" songs in response to whistled imitation; bird was 12-15 m away and 3-4 m up, unseen when recorded but seen briefly before recorded and very well after recording was made; bird came right in to a whistled imitation of a couple of songs, after which this recording was made along loop trail near marker #42; bird remained on relatively slim trunks in good, terra firme forest with large trees and an open understory; the churring was not given before song was imitated but it never gave the aggressive chatter typical after song is imitated; a Dendrocincla-sized bird; full overcast, calm, 85-86¡ F. ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Ramphastos tucanus cuvieri to Ramphastos tucanus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
