NOTES: 74 songs and four long calls of bird #1 recorded along logging road 500 m W of highway; cut began at 5:20:07 after began with a long call at 5:16:45 and a song at 5:17:05; I missed about eight songs getting onto it, but it was moving around quite a bit and difficult to get onto; bird was initially 30-40 m up overhead on S side of road but recorder turned off when it moved at 5:24; bird began again at 5:32:35 but now singing relatively quietly 40-45 m away and relatively high; for latter part of cut bird may have been as near as 20-25 m up overhead giving whisper songs; partly cloudy, calm, 78¡ F; still quite dark during first part; continues onto next reel as cut #99-45-01.
