Observation details
Initially found just a few meters from each other, roosting in flock of BBPL. Seen for about 30 seconds, after which the whole flock flushed due to Peregrine. Juvenile 'golden plovers', with very long primary projection, more than 4 primary tips showing underneath tertials. No obvious ear spot visible as in PGPL. In flight toe tips visible but not as pronounced as in flying PGPL One of the two birds, by accident the one I'm following with my scope when the flock flushes, splits of the flock and decides to fly north far out across the fields, until it's so far I can hardly identify it as a shorebird, and decides to land somewhere in the fields there (later searched plowed fields but not relocated as I didn't see exactly where it landed). In the meantime, the flock BBPL has settled very close to me again, and I immediately refind the other bird in the flock. This one I'm able to photograph.
