NOTES: Decapitated song (??) after playback of prerecorded tape. Bird was later seen well using additional playback; this was within a known territory following playback of a prerecorded tape by Luis F¿bio Silveira; the bird appeared to be an immature male in that it was not much paler below than above; in response to playback the bird sang (it was silent before playback) and approached; this was recorded in a narrow strip of gallery forest along a small stream that emptied into the Rio S¿o Francisco just above the waterfall; when seen, the bird perched 1-1_ meters up in moderately open growth (twice seen singing), when it moved around somewhat and pumped tail with each note; usually seen running on ground near our feet, appearing much like a mouse at this time; partly cloudy, calm, mid to upper 70s. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest, Creek, Riparian, Grove.
