NOTES: Includes 30 songs recorded in three parts at 6:46, 6:49, and 6:55. The first song on tape was the birdÕs eighth after beginning to sing again at 6:40 am; between 6:30 and 6:40 am, the bird gave a single song at 6:33 am, and a song and a long call at 6:34 am; this represents a continuation of cut #99-27-03 and is of the same bird as cuts #99-22-03, 99-23-01, 99-24-06, 99-25-01, and 99-26-01; the bird moved back a short distance towards the road, now 25 meters up overhead in a dense vine tangle in the top of a relatively tall tree (though apparently not an emergent); the bird flew again at 6:46 am moving about another 30 meters closer to the road; I missed four songs getting back onto the bird, with the second part of the cut beginning at 6:47 am, again with the bird about 25 meters away; I missed two more songs and a long call between the second and third parts of this cut when the bird flew again, stopping only about 15 meters from the road; after this cut ended, the bird gave a long call and a song at 6:59:10 from yet another spot; relatively cloudy (high, thin clouds) when the cut ended; 1/2 moon directly overhead at the end of this cut. ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus guttatus to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [guttatus Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
