NOTES: Includes 157 (30/54/73) songs of first bird (same as cut #98RDAT08-37 et al.) at dawn. This cut begins at 5:46 after I missed about five songs relocating the bird, which was now over the igap¿; the bird was 30 meters away after I got back onto it after it initially flew following the first song (which took another ten songs); the bird moved again at 6:06 am, but was again 30 meters up overhead in a huge tree (either a fig or one with many vines in the upper branches); though I was initially 40-45 meters away upon relocating the bird after this flight, I later crept up to a point only 30 meters away; the sun was in the tree-tops towards the end of the cut; three different trees were used this morning, with the bird beginning on the hill, flying back to the igap¿, and then returning to the hill at the end; this recording is of my first bird, ca. 1.2 km. out the road on the west side near the igap¿; clear, calm, mid 70s, some rain during the night. ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus guttatoides to Xiphorhynchus guttatus guttatoides/dorbignyanus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
