Observation details
This bird had us confused for a bit. We banded it and finally settled on WEWP but were considering EAWP for a while.... measurements were on the low end of EAWP but in the middle of range for WEWP. The breast was completely and evenly dark contrasting with a much lighter throat. The bill was dark along the sides but not in the center or really on the tip.... See photos. Assuming that it is the same bird that was calling in the same area as where released about 10 minutes later it certainly sounded like a Western Wood-Pewee.
