NOTES: Note: These recordings were made with the latest model of TCM-5000 with the bad motor. Cuts made near the end of a tape in humid conditions can have a speed shift problem- best indicator would appear to be the stable insect noise lines that appear on a sonogram- any variation in form shows a speed recording problem. ABH This is a rainforest environment in a rainshadow area with a less diverse avifauna near to the San Jose de Uchupiamonas jungle lodge. We cut a trail thorugh the forest and I recorded birds along mammal transects. forest was pretty poor with only 250 odd species and a total recorded in the area as 310 species. [This is the "pweee" call illustrated in Figure 4 of BNA, though not discussed in the account; it is the typical call heard on the wintering grounds. Quality changed from 2-3 to 3-2 - CAM - 5 January 2005].
