Observation details
First observed this bird feeding in a mixed flock of shorebirds. Immediately next to some Pectoral Sandpipers, this bird stood out for having a much more boldly patterned chest and upper flanks, a noticeably more red cap, and a distinct, broad white supercilium. The bird also showed a slightly shorter bill, a slight white eyering, scalloping all the way down the flanks, slightly streaked undertail coverts, somewhat buffy upper chest, and dirty yellowish-green legs.
