NOTES: (Breeding Status: Territorial. Gen. Climate: Humid. Strata: High, song perch.) Cut begins at A-time 4:26, ends at 5:37. LNS Note: HP @ 160Hz. MER 10-11-2002. [This brief recording contains what appears to be a "Chatter Vocalization" followed by two examples of the fully peaked form of the Initially Peaked Vocalization (IPV; following Smith, W. J. 1970. Displays and message assortment in Sayornis species. Behaviour 37: 85-112). Note that the BNA account appears to have confused this vocalization with a type 1 Regularly Repeated Vocalization (RR1). Quality changed from ~2-3 to 2, 2-3 (the first vocalization has a better signal than the latter two) - 4 April 2005]. Habitat: Tundra, Arctic Tundra, Creek, Thicket/Brush.
