Observation details
Viewed from the 360 Hide at approximately 2:33pm, distant, actively diving and feeding off of water's surface. Smallish tern with a black head, neck, and belly. Dark gray back, white rump, whitish tail. Light gray wings, apart from black underwing coverts. Poor photos obtained, Emailed photos to RSPB Frampton Marsh representative - 4th documented bird on the reserve in the last 10 years and the 2nd in full summer/breeding plumage. Also shared photos in the Rare Birds of Britain and Ireland Facebook group. (This species was excluded as a BBRC review species in 2006)
