Observation details
*Rare especially in summer- continuing molting bird on the back side of SHPT, offering close views via kayak from the north end of Nummy Island (free bridge). Seems to be making a habit of beaching itself on the backside sleeping and looking around. It fell asleep while we were watching closely. Hope it’s okay. Common Loons have beached themselves in the past on the backside of SHPT in the summer. Photographed. 39.026898,-74.786266
