Media notes
Subtitle: Mobbing. NOTES: sub-montane rainforest; These birds were assembled near ground in understory probably mobbing a snake though the snake was not seen. I believe the first bird to make a raucous is Phyllastrephus flavostriatus, then joined by Phyllastrephus placidus. Also Ploceus bicolor and Nectarinia sp. are heard. Malaconotus nigrifrons, Dicrurus ludwigii are also in back. Stactolaema olivacea is loud near the end of the cut. Also a pair of Forest batis' (Batis mixta) call back and forth near the end after the commotion subsides. Habitat: Forest, Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
