Observation details
Perched about 10m up on a horizontal limb along north side of road from Playa Larga to Soplillar. Well-studied through scopes, but the bird never flew or called, and we could not see details of wing or tail pattern. Not as dark and boldly marked as a typical Common, but apparently a HY bird (pale tips to primaries) so this might explain the relatively pale plumage. The white bar on the primaries was well proximal to the tertials (ruling out Lesser Nighthawk). The choice is between Common (very late for this relatively scarce migrant here) and Antillean (which should be completely absent from Cuba by November. I don't know if there are any diagnostic plumage differences visible in the photos.
