NOTES: (Species Sound: frequent; Breeding Status: not territorial; Special Song Type: copulation sequentce?; Behavioral Context: courtship feeding?; Sound Delivery Rate: agitated; General Climate: arid; Cover Density: medium) BNA: Possibly the Too-ee-oo call but I am not sure. The call is followed by the male song with possible elements of mimicry, followed then by another type of call, possibly the Psee-si-it call. CZ 30/07/2004. [This appears to begin with the "too-ee-oo" call described in BNA (0:04-0:59), these followed by eight songs and two other calls. These songs appear to contain little in the way of mimicry, but I believe that elements that sound much like the calls of Turdus migratorius are evident in all but the first and last two songs. Other elements sound like calls of a bluebird (Sialia sp.), but I cannot identify the specieseven if these are indeed imitations of a bluebird. Two calls given at 1:59 and 2:02 presumably represent the "tidilip/keeup" calls described in BNA. I doubt that a young bird would be out of the nest at this time, so the begging bird was probably an adult. Quality unchanged (2 - with an odd humm and a change in gain at 1:31) - CAM - 4 February 2005]. Other Behaviors: Court, Mate, Beg, Perform Visual Display. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest, Coniferous Forest.
