Observation details
This CHúchuko' Å'paka'-Little Egret was standing on a mangrove branch as Jun Ogo, Jack San Nicolas and I drove by on our way to the Paluman Å'paka'-White-throated Ground Dove's nest at the next fairway. I stopped to take a few pictures shown here. I sent the picture to Gary Wiles and Doug Pratt to help me identify whether it is a Little or Snowy Egret. Gary said, "It's interesting to see the head plume on this bird, which is a breeding season trait and is unusual for Micronesia since all birds have usually departed by then." I was at the same golf course fairway the day before and the Little Egret was not there. I would not have see it if I didn't decide to go back on this day to take more pictures of the Pulattat and Paluman Å'paka'.
