Observation details
The EURASIAN DOTTEREL was a bright juv. bird. that was very approachable. I took several photos of it, the best of which are here. All the classic field marks were visible including the strong eyeline which wrapped around to the back of the head, a very tiny bill, and the faint white line across the breast. It stayed in this spot the whole time we observed the bird and only turned around and stretched it wings once. We watched it for 45 minutes As mentioned above this bird was first found on Sun. Sept. 24 and I believe last seen on Wed. Sept. 27. This is a first State record for Oregon.
