Observation details
**Very rare for Brooklyn. First spotted at the Esdale bridge around 4:40. The bird took a drink of water, popped up, and flew down toward Ambergill Falls. I was able to stay with it long enough to get one photo, before it flew up and I lost it. Birds frequently visit this spot at Esdale to bathe and drink in the late afternoon/early evening, and then don't stick around long, returning to their preferred daytime location. Piranga with a heavy, light orange colored bill, yellow head and body, yellow rump, dark wings with two wingbars one yellow and one white, and a grayish back. Adult female.
