Observation details
One somewhat brighter than the other, but both on the "bright" side of the spectrum based on the RNST I have observed in Barrow. Compact and rather rotund in structure. Clean white underparts with bright rufousy upperparts. Rusty face with paler supercilium. Dark streaking on the crown and across the breast with highest concentration on either side of the breast. Solid red throat eliminating Little Stint. Dark edges to the primaries also ruling out Little Stint. Pale yellowish lines running down the back rather diffuse and not as sharply demarcated as a Little Stint. Black legs and bill. Bill quite thick at the base and tapering little towards tip, quite similar structurally to a Semipalmated Sandpiper. Silent.
