NOTES: Physalaemus sp. is the "mew" vocalization. The loud prominent low & slow trill is Bufo marinus. Leptodactylus pentadactylus is the submarine sonar-like call. Hyla boans is the deep croak in the background. H. boans was calling from trees at the edge of one of the pools of water. This chorus was centered around two large shallow (5-10 cm) pools of water located on either side of the road. These pools were apparently created when dirt was excavated to create the elevated road bed. Other Behaviors: Advertise, Social Context: Mixed. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Pond, Edge.
