NOTES: Two M. leucophrys can be heard in this recording. Two call types from the individual in the foreground. First call type from this individual was delivered spontaneously. The second call type, sharper in quality, was perhaps given in response to my presence or in response to the M. leucophrys in the background. It is unknown whether or not the second M. leucophrys heard calling in the background, unseen, is the mate or a conspecific. Note that the second individual in the background is heard giving the sharp "second call type" from nearly the start of this recording. At the point that the foreground individual begins giving the sharp call, the background individual appears to be in closer proximity than at the beginning of the recording. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest, Swamp, Riparian.
