Subtitle: Dawn Chorus. NOTES: This recording began at 4:50 am, before first light, and ended at 5:53 am. The recording was made in a section of Santa Rosa known as "Bosque Humedo," which has a different microclimate than the surrounding dry forest that is typical of Santa Rosa. There was rain earlier in the morning, so drip can be heard throughout the entire recording. There is little or no bird sound for the first 13 minutes of the recording. A species of cicada, Fidicina mannifera, dominates the recording from approx. 23-39 minutes. Howler monkeys can be heard in relatively close proximity from 27:21 to 30:25. Rufous-and-white Wren is relatively close to the microphones from 52:23 to the end of the recording. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest.
