Observation details
Bird at island power plant building where a Murphy's petrel also has been observed in previous years. First observed resting under the building supports by Yothin Anusri, the bird was subsequently observed at close range for 30+ minutes by 5 observers as it circled the building multiple times, often hovering over the loud, operating generator. It eventually landed next to the building and remained sitting on a low retaining wall until observers left. Moderately-large petrel with all-dark plumage except for light patch under chin. Bulky chest.
