Media notes
This bird was less than half the size of the Salmon-crested Cockatoos that frequent this site. Features are consistent with that of a Tanimbar Corella: pale gray beak, brown to black eye color for male and red for females, white/blue eye ring, pink on lores, yellowish tinge under wings and tail, pinkish suffusion on breast and underparts, and a white crest. There were two Tanimbar Corellas perched together briefly (my photo is fuzzy) and another one that seemed a bit smaller was nearby. I saw another one at a site that was about .1 mile away. RFP Monograph indicates that some are present at the Lyon Arboretum.
