NOTES: (Species Sound or Soc. Contact: Frequent. Gen. Climate: Humid. Habitat Type: Dump.) [This recording begins with some soft "chunk" calls (10 examples between 0:06-0:28), but these are followed by 20 songs, or partial songs, of two different song types that differ primarily in the introductory notes (the conclusions are quite similar in all songs, at least in those that have them). Songs of the first type begin at 0:29, 0:42, 0:51, 1:04, 1:14, 1:25, 2:00, 2:15, 2:34, 2:43, 3:10, 3:38, 3:56, 4:35, and 4:49; those of the second type at 1:39, 1:47, 2:58, 3:25, 4:10, and 4:23. I am less sure about the raspy calls given at 0:57, 1:00, and 1:06-1:11 (5), but I suspect these too were given by the bobolinks. They do not really match anything described (or shown) in BNA account, however. Quality changed from ~2 to 2 (at least for the songs) - CAM - 8 September 2005]. Other Behaviors: Perform Visual Display. Habitat: Forest, Coniferous Forest, Creek, Second-growth.
