Unknown 8mm film camera, film stock and development procedure.
Entire film reel. J. Michael Scott from the USGS had in his possession in "a reel of 8mm movie film that John Sincock had given him". Sincock was "the biologist from the the US Fish and Wildlife - Patauxent Wildlife Research Center and spent 15+ years on Kauai when there were still birds there - early 1970s to late 1980s". Michael Scott passed this reel on to Timothy Burr who contacted Greg Budney and Mike Webster to investigate the prospect of transferring the film and archiving it here in the ML. Provenance is based on the communication excerpted above. The original 8mm film was telecine transferred to Digibeta at DuArt in NY, NY in the fall of 2012. Filming date, location and other details remain unknown.
