NOTES: Background: PHYLLASTREPHUS STREPITANS (CHATTERING); Weather: WIND; WHEN FIRST HEARD, THE BIRD WAS NOT VISIBLE. UPON PLAYBACK IT SHOWED ITSELF IMMEDIATELY. HE CAME WITHIN FEET OF ME TIME AND AGAIN. AT ONE TIME THE BIRD APPROACHED TO WITHIN 3FT. FINALLY HE GAVE UP APPEARING BUTEACH TIME HE ANSWERED ME WHEN I TURNEDOFF. 'POO-HUERY-HUERY' LOUD ANDCLEAR. SOMETIMES THERE IS AN EXTRA 'HUERY'. THE FIRST TIME THERE IS ASOFT 'KER' IN THE INTERVAL BETWEEN THE 'POO-HUERY-HUERY' WHICH IS HARD TO DISTINGUISH AT FIRST. IT IS ONLY REPEATED A FEW TIMES AS THOUGH DRAWING BACK. RECORDED IN EARLY MORNING.
