NOTES: Beh. context: UNKNOWN; Weather: WIND; WHEN VISIBLE THEBIRD STAYED IN ONE PLACE AND SANG FOR QUITE A PERIOD OF TIME. DURING THE SCOLD HE WAS RIGHT IN THE OPEN, WENT INTO THICK COVER AND DID NOT SHOW AGAIN. THE RESPONSE TO PLAYBACK WAS NOT IMMEDIATEAND I BEGAN TO THINK I HAD FAILED. HOWEVER, AFTER I HAD BEEN SILENT FOR SOME 7 MINUTES OR MORE, HE APPEARED ON A BUSH IN A PROMINENT POSITION AND SCOLDED FOR A CONSIDERABLE WHILE. HE THEN STARTED HIS 'POO-WHI-WHI' AGAIN, BUT DURING THIS HE MOVED AND WOULD NOT SHOW HIMSELF AGAIN ALTHOUGH HE CONTINUED SINGING FOR SOMETIME. HE SEEMED IN THIS CASE TO RESENT MY PLAYBACK. RECORDED IN THE MORNING. TEA GROWING AREA NEAR LAKE VICTORIA.
