NOTES: THIS PAIR WAS GIVING THE TWO NOTE CLEAR WHISTLE. THEY REMAINED ATOP ATHORN BUSH. THEY BOBBED UP AND DOWN WHILE VOCALIZING, STRETCHING UP ON THE 1ST NOTE AND THEN BOBBING, FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. FOLLOWING THEIR DUET (CA. 10 MIN.) THE BIRDS CAME DOWN ON THE GROUND AND RAN ROUND ONE ANOTHER CHASING THE OTHER WITH OUTSTRETCHED TAIL AND WINGS OUT BUT DOWN. TIME IS BELIEVED TO BE BETWEEN 0700 AND0830HRS. DRY THORN BUSH AREAS OF OPEN PLAINS WITH THICKER COVER IN VALLEYS. SOME WAIT-A-BIT,SOME GOOD ACACIA. BOTH BIRDS HAD BLACK GORGETSAND BEHAVIOR INDICATES T.C. HILGERTI BUT COULD BE T.C. CATHEMAGMENA BASED ON LOCALITY.
