    Equipment Note

NOTES: Bird was singing from 35 m up overhead on open branch in canopy of really large, relatively open tree along Avenida Perimetral Oeste right in front of hotel. When bird sang, it arched its back pointing the bill downward and the tail upward, and then it fluttered its wings over body to make swishing sound. Scattered high clouds, calm, mid 70s. Copied with HPF@200 Hz.

ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus eytoni to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [eytoni Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
