    Equipment Note

NOTES: Same bird previously recorded in cuts #97RDAT20-15-17 (bird #5). Bird was singing when I arrived at 6:06 to 6:08 and may have been doing so for a short time. On same side of road about 300 m down from hotel. Unseen bird was about 30-50 m away in tops of trees, possibly right along road, but maybe a little farther back. Almost completely clear (a few high clouds on horizon), calm, low 70s; sun was just beginning to hit trees at end. Second bird singing in distance. I remained in area until 6:45, but bird never sang again. I did hear a long-call from same spot at 6:40, suggesting that bird had not moved.
