    Equipment Note

NOTES: A new bird (bird #3) recorded on slope near house across swamp and fields from hotel. Bird began singing at 5:56 and I got onto it about 5:58. Many songs and one long call of bird that moved several times, but never went very far. Bird was initially about 60 m away, but later 45-50 m in or near tops of trees along edge of large clearing; clear, calm, low 70s. A time announcement of 6:11 was given several minutes before end, and following cut began at 6:19.

ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus eytoni to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [eytoni Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
