    Equipment Note

NOTES: Apparent distress calls of female of pair (well seen, with male nearby) that seemed very agitated by my presence; bird was regularly flicking its wings. When recorded, female was 5 m away and 2 1/2-3 m up in relatively dense undergrowth just in from clearing along loop trail behind hotel. Clear, calm, 78¡ F. Some calls overloaded.

ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus eytoni to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [eytoni Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
