    Equipment Note

NOTES: Dawn songs of same bird recorded on previous visit to site about 75 m into forest from marker 8; bird was apparently singing from same huge tree it used previously. Unseen bird was 35-40 m away and almost directly overhead. It was singing when I arrived, but I had to scare some Alouatta that had been calling, so it took me a few minutes to get onto bird. Clear, calm, low 70s. Dawn, but sun not quite up yet.

ML: Background subject changed from Hylopezus macularius to H. whittakeri to reflect current taxonomy. -Jay McGowan 29Nov2014.

ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus eytoni to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [eytoni Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
