    Equipment Note

NOTES: Highlighted bird was a male, but two birds apparently present (likely a pair) in addition to a few other birds in a small mixed-species flock. The bird was initially about 4 m up and 6 m away in dense vegetation directly over river; bird in view about 5 m up when tape broken, but then continued to 12-15 m up. Scattered, high clouds; calm to trace breeze; 75¡ F. Recorded right along river at beginning of Trilha de Haffer. I believe this is a call rather than a song; it is given by both members of pair, unlike the dry rattle that is only given by the male.
LNS: Subject changed from Myrmotherula surinamensis to M. multostriata to reflect current taxonomy. -Matt Medler, 20 Sept 2010.
