NOTES: Background: LANIARIUS FERRUGINEUS (TWO BIRDS); TWO BIRDS WERE PRESENT, BUT THEY WERE NOT DUETTING. THE VOCALIZATION CONSISTED OF LONG PHRASES FOLLOWED BY LONG SCOLD. TWO DISTANT BIRDS CAN BE HEARD IN THE BACKGROUND. MYLES SAW THE NEAR BIRD FOR IDENTIFICATION. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN TONE BETWEEN THE SCOLD AND THE SECOND. THIS COULD POSSIBLY INDICATE A CHANGE OF POSITION (REFLECTOR IN RELATIONTO BIRD) OR IT COULD MEAN THE SECOND BIRD. THE COUCAL MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO HEAR IF THE SECOND BIRD DOES DUET AT THE BEGINNING. (I THINK ITDOES. I FEEL THAT THERE ARE TWO NEAR BIRDS ON THIS CUT AS WELL AS THEDISTANT ONES - J.F.M. HORNE) SHARP BEND IN ACACIA WOODS.

ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Camaroptera brachyura griseigula to Camaroptera brachyura [brevicaudata Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
