NOTES: ALARM CALLS GIVEN INITIALLY DUE TO RECORDIST'S PRESENCE. THE BIRDS QUIETED SOMEWHAT AFTER THE RECORDIST HID IN LOW BRUSH; THE REMAINDER MAYREPRESENT CONVERSATION. PAIR OF BIRDS NEARBY OCCASIONALLY HURLED INVECTIVES AT RECORDIST. HOARSE NOTES MIXED WITH SCREECHES ARE APPARENTLY MADE DURING INHALATION, THE BIRDS IN AN EXCITED STATE. DURING THE CALLS OF THE PAIR, A BAND OF 7 PARAKEETS FLEW DOWN INTO THE CANYON. THE PAIR LATER FLEW UP THE CANYON AND STIMULATED THE OTHERS TO SCREECH. NOTETHAT THERE IS A CERTAIN REGULARITY TO TO VOLUME OF SCREECHING RISING AND FADING AWAY. A DEEP NARROW CANYON, WOODED AT THE RIM, PATCHES OF BRUSH AT BOTTOM. Sex: 20-50? UNKNOWN
