NOTES: Weather: HAZY; HEDGEROW AND WEED-COVERED AREA AT HEADQUARTERS OF HACIENDA. BAND OF AT LEAST 10 BIRDS FORAGING AMONG WEEDS; SOME FLYING TO ADJOINING HEDGEROW AND OTHERS REJOINING THE GROUP SO THAT THE NATURE OF THE GROUP CHANGED CONSTANTLY. VOCALIZATIONS WE Age: 10 UNKNOWN AGERE UNLIKE THOSE I HAVE HEARD FOR THIS SPECIES IN OTHER SITUATIONS; THOUGH IN THIS ONE PLACE I HEARD THEM ON THREE DIFFERENT DAYS. THE GROUP BROKE UP SLOWLY; THE TYPICAL 'PIHUYE' CALL CAN BE HEARD AS INDIVIDUALS FLEW AWAY. Call type: begging calls (nestlings or fledglings); conks (soft) (per S. Vehrencamp).
