NOTES: NEAR BRIDGE ACROSS CREEK. BUZZY SONG. 1 ADULT(S); Sex: UNKNOWN

[This is essentially the song of the species, including both types of Regularly Repeated Vocalizations (RRVs; see Smith, W. J. 1969. Displays of Sayornis phoebe (Aves, Tyrannidae). Behaviour 33:283-322). The 11 vocalizations here represent mostly RRV2s, but there are also four examples of RRV1s (0:11, 0:16, 0:21, 0:26). The domination of RRV2s here is apparently atypical of the species (fide BNA). Note that the first song was given as the recorder was gaining speed. Quality unchanged (2 - at best) - CAM - 13 April 2005]
