Stimulus for Sound: Natural (no playback) - first cut, Playback own song - second cut. Sound Delivery Rate: Normal? Gen. Climate: Cyclic wet-dry. Gen. Habitat: Wet grassy Moriche Palm glade along creek.) This male Least Bittern responded promptly to playback and allowed close studies. This partgicular vocalization may be routine but I've only heard it twice, both times in Guyana.
