NOTES: Part A notes - (Number of Animals and Sex: 1 adult male) My field notebook is in the LNS collection. See page 18 for details of foraging behavior etc. Field annotations included re playback [of the evening of 16th tape]. The/a male responded acutely to playback and came back over the ridge behind us 3 times between 09:00 - 11:15 "time checks". Field annotations included. Field notebook is deposited in the LNS. see page 18 of 1974 FNB.
Part B notes - (Time: 16:10; Number of Animals and Sex: adult males; Background Sounds: wing rustling of Zosterops heard as well as that of Coracina) This section is response to playback of the calls on the previous tape 48A on the second machine. The Nagra IIIB [the cable was still away being repaired]. After close "kek" sequence the "wing flutter" can be heard. See field notebook and recording notebook for further details. More data are available in these books. There is one sequence of unusual "bubbling" sound and a rip or "zip" call heard, like a human sniff or a "cloth ripping".
