NOTES: (Species Sound: Infrequent. Breeding Status: Territorial? Behav. Context: Advertising? Sound Delivery Rate: Normal? Gen. Habitat: Grassy, marshy edges of the park's Laguna, surrounded by forest. Water Assoc: Small lake.) To my ear this sounds very like Laterallus melanophaius, but excellent, detailed, wide open telescope studies of this bird, or these birds, showed them to be unambiguously levraudi.
