NOTES: (Recordist's Tape #20B & 21A. Bkground Sounds: Homo sapiens (male) with Canis familiaris. Breeding Status: Territorial paired. Stimulus for Sound: Natural (no playback), then playback own song. Response to Playback: Normal calls. Behav. Context: A pair were constructing a nest. Gen. Climate: Wet, humid (cyclone season).) A pair were building a nest. The male responded to playback and later in the afternoon (1550) he sang, very clearly seen (as annotated) singing! The entire day was spent in this area. High wind and rain at the start of the cyclone season made bad recording conditgions. The evening song was the "warbled song" i.e. with the warble phrases.
