NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut #44. Bulk reel #515. Same young bird, now 20 days old. Quality: 1. Level: +3. 203 tape. LN. The "buzzy" calls are by this bird; it had remained quiet in the box while I was recording its box-mate, an 11-day old Sporophila nigricollis (cf. Cut 44 of that species), but then began to call whlen I showed myself. The S. nigricollis continued to call throughout this recording. On two occasions I held the grassquit, which had flown to my finger, closer to the mike because its call is weaker than that of the seedeater. This trhen continues as second part of Cut 44 of S. nigricollis. Then it is continued from Cut 44 and we hear the grassquit and both young seedeaters (which have slightly different voices!).
