*This identification is believed correct and the call corresponds to that described in Snyder's "Birds of Guyana." There is a very slight possibility that this could be C. grammicus but this species has never been collected in this locality while undatus has. Quality: 1-2. Level: +10.
a) Natural calls. Very prominently heard is a conflict among several Trogon viridis.
Then, after playback. Quality: 1. Level: +7. Bird seen.
b) Then, after male shot at and flies away wounded, calls presumably by the female (the pair was present with the playback). Quality: 2. Level: +10.
